Barnaby graduated from Auckland University School of Medicine in 1999 and completed his radiology training in Auckland. He was a fellow in MRI at Middlemore Hospital in 2006 and contributed to research papers with the Auckland University Bone Research Group during that year. He was the ARG musculoskeletal fellow in 2007. Two additional years were spent in Brisbane at St Andrew’s and Brisbane Private Hospital gaining further experience in musculoskeletal imaging, MRI and imaging guided procedures.
Areas of radiology expertise include orthopaedic, rheumatology and sports medicine as well as image guided spinal and musculoskeletal procedures. He holds a consultant position at North Shore hospital with responsibilities in general and musculoskeletal radiology, non-vascular intervention and cardiac CT. He has published in peer reviewed journals and has been an invited speaker to Australasian conferences on topics in spinal imaging and MRI.
